    1. Provide access to lighting boxes and termination above kitchen. Remove any insulation concealing wiring, junction boxes or lighting terminations.



    2. Provide closer access to junction box above living room. Correctly splice K&T wiring to romex with protective loom or romex sleeve where it enters box. Provide equipment grounding conductor to lighting fixtures or any metallic enclosures where spliced to Knob-and-Tube wiring.Equipment grounding conductor shall be terminated to panel ground bar.



    3. All romex wiring shall be secured to joists within 1 foot of box or fixture and every 4 1/2 feet maximum using romex stables.



    4. All splices shall be made inside fixture or junction box. No exposed conductors. Romex cable shall be correctly terminated into box using connectors listed as such with at least 1/4” of sheathing into box.



    5. Verify that new wiring to can lights is AFCI protected.



    6. Provide romex to be protected from damage within 6 feet of access point. Running boards or strips 1 x2 on either side of cabling would be acceptable.



    7. Driver for LED lighting shall be secured to framing members
